Early Intervention

Early Intervention

STAR helps injured workers quickly, safely, and sustainably return to work.

At STAR, we know that Early Intervention is the key to avoiding barriers to returning to work becoming entrenched, and addressing the many developmental, physical, and mental health concerns associated with returning to work following injury or trauma.

We work closely with our clients to deliver personalised, compassionate care that is based on the latest research and evidence-based practices and develop a plan that is customised to their specific needs and goals.

This service can be provided for a Worker's Compensation injury, or for injuries that may have occurred outside the workplace where the Employer would like assistance with the return-to-work process.

Our 4-week condensed support for return to work following work or non-work injury or illness can include, but is not limited to:

  • Initial Assessment of needs and barriers to work
  • Early engagement of medical intervention for a work illness/injury (pre-claim) to support continued engagement in work
  • Referral to and liaison with medical and other treatment providers
  • Worksite Assessments
  • Psychological Services
  • Development of graduated return to work schedule
